Ahh, Fridays. Okay it’s now Saturday, but I love a holiday during the work week. I did a little yard work (for real!), and some virtual yard work (Facebook), then went to the store and did a little prep work for my spring rolls. Tomorrow (today) will be a fun day. My mother-in-law’s brother is coming up for the day. He’s attending a conference in Portland, but will spend the day here.

Today was the end of a long, short week. We had the start of summer quarter last week and we had fiscal year end this week. Now my director is going on vacation for the next two weeks. I’m mentally exhausted and ready for the weekend. My room is almost finished!

The end of the fiscal year, and the end of a contract year. I had several hours of compensatory time that I needed to take before the end of business today. So, I worked 2.5 hours yesterday and 2.5 hours today. Yesterday, I came home, ate lunch and fell asleep for most of the afternoon. Today, I decided to go to Costco. I will never, ever go to Costco by myself ever again unless it is absolutely necessary. I went, shopped, came home. I purchased their chicken bake from the frozen foods section thinking that’ll make a nice lunch. I get home, open the box… and there are only three in there when there’s supposed to be six! So, I go back down to Costco and return it, purchase a new box (plus another food item). In the line to get checked out the door, I can’t find my keys. I stand in line at the Customer Service desk to see if they’ve been turned in, no. So I go retrace my steps, no luck. I call Chris and he mentions to look in the car. Yup. There they were; locked up nice and tight inside my car. Chris’ work is not too far away, plus it was a few minutes before he got off, so he picked me up. He didn’t carry a key, but being Tuesday and “guys night out” he and his friend Rob rescued my car and used it for the evening.

I woke up this morning thinking it was Wednesday. I was so disappointed when I got to work and realized it really was only Tuesday. It seems I wasn’t the only one feeling that way. There were four others, including my mother-in-law that felt the same way. It should’ve been Wednesday.
I have a new addiction: games on Facebook. “Mafia Wars” and “Sushi No Suki”.

Another day has come to an end. Summer quarter started and it was busy as usual, but it didn’t get that way until mid-morning. I have quite a bit of comp time to use before the end of the month which I will gladly take at some point.

Survived another night with the kiddos. My m-i-l made dinner and fed us. Chris came home earlier than usual. He looks exhausted.

Another successful evening with the kids, well, for the most part. Both were in bed before 9p, but they are still awake. Logan is so tired, but refuses to close his eyes. One more night and then it’s just me and the Logster. He’s such a problem solver. I just wish he would talk.

Oif! I’m still recovering from graduation Friday evening. It went well, although I didn’t get to leave until 10:15p or so. Then I had testing Saturday morning and then dinner at the Melting Pot to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. I was supposed to have two sessions of PRAXIS, but my second session was a no show, so I got to go home early. I stopped by Joann and got a second pair of knitting needles and started practicing at home.
I also stopped by the drug store and got some loratadine tablets because I’ve been having terrible post-nasal drip. Got home, took some, and took a nap. I’m not sure if it was the tablets or because I was already tired, but I was drowsy at dinner. That didn’t stop me from having a drink though. I had some sort of choclate martini with Kahlua and Baileys. YUMMM!!
Chris and Peter made two gates on Sunday. They did a good job.
Today was a blah day. I need a vacation.

Today is out 15th Wedding Anniversary. Chris had to work late and the electrician was busily working on the addition. We’ll be celebrating Saturday evening instead at my favorite restaurant: The Melting Pot.
Tomorrow is graduation. I’m still not sure what I’m going to wear.
