The end of the fiscal year, and the end of a contract year. I had several hours of compensatory time that I needed to take before the end of business today. So, I worked 2.5 hours yesterday and 2.5 hours today. Yesterday, I came home, ate lunch and fell asleep for most of the afternoon. Today, I decided to go to Costco. I will never, ever go to Costco by myself ever again unless it is absolutely necessary. I went, shopped, came home. I purchased their chicken bake from the frozen foods section thinking that’ll make a nice lunch. I get home, open the box… and there are only three in there when there’s supposed to be six! So, I go back down to Costco and return it, purchase a new box (plus another food item). In the line to get checked out the door, I can’t find my keys. I stand in line at the Customer Service desk to see if they’ve been turned in, no. So I go retrace my steps, no luck. I call Chris and he mentions to look in the car. Yup. There they were; locked up nice and tight inside my car. Chris’ work is not too far away, plus it was a few minutes before he got off, so he picked me up. He didn’t carry a key, but being Tuesday and “guys night out” he and his friend Rob rescued my car and used it for the evening.
